The Triple Display USB-C Docking Station from Hiearcool supports a dual HDMI display up to 3840 x 2160@30Hz or triple 1920 x 1080 displays @60Hz with VGA. For Apple computer users (macOS), the displays are in mirror mode only.
This docking station requires a USB-C computer with DP Alt mode, which allows direct connection to a display or monitor. Ensure your laptop has a USB-C power delivery port (USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen2)) or Thunderbolt 3 port (supports PD charging) before purchase.
The docking station provides reliable connectivity and fast data transfer. It features 2 USB 3.0 ports for accessories (external hard drives or USB peripherals) and 2 USB 2.0 ports (great for wireless devices like keyboards and printers). A laptop's wall adapter must be connected to the USB-C Power Delivery port before connecting any external devices. The Type-C PD charging port is for power pass-through only, and the SD and TF card slots cannot be used simultaneously.
The built-in Gigabit Ethernet port (supports 10/100/1000 Ethernet) offers a high-speed wired network connection. For Macbook users, set up the network connection by going to System Preferences > Network, clicking Add (+), selecting USB 10/100/1000 LAN, and then clicking the application to connect.
The docking station is equipped with a VL817 chip that provides safety features such as overload, over-voltage, over-current, short circuit, overcharge, voltage regulation, and temperature control under 45°C. Power is shared between all connected USB-C devices, so for fast charging, use an adapter over 72W.
The Hiearcool Laptop Docking Station is compatible with specific Thunderbolt 3, USB-C Gen2, or USB-C Gen1 (with Power Delivery) Windows systems. The difference between these technologies lies in their bandwidth capabilities: - Thunderbolt 3: 40Gb/s - USB-C 3.1 Gen 2: 10Gb/s - USB-C 3.1 Gen 1: 5Gb/s (data transfer only)
Please ensure your laptop has the appropriate USB-C port to support multi-display functionality. The docking station is compatible with devices such as the Microsoft Surface Book 2, Dell XPS series, Lenovo Yoga 720 13" and Carbon X1, and some HP Spectre x360 models. It is not compatible with Acer devices, iPad Pro 2018, Apple USB SuperDrive, Surface Book 3, or Nintendo Switch.
